April 24: Terrace Monthly Music & Art Festival

This Monday, The Terrace will be putting on its monthly art and music festival featuring local acts like VaChina, Mott, Dinorah Zamora and the Shani Tabia band. There'll also be food and drink specials: 20 percent off pizzas, 10 percent off snacks, and a whole slew of deals on cocktails.

April 25: Icelandic Band Amiina

In Scandinavia’s vast world of instrumental acts, Amiina has carved out its own distinct space. Known for incorporating a seemingly endless number of instruments into their songs, they first gained renown as the string section for acclaimed Icelandic band Sigur Rós. April 27: Twelfth Night by TNT Theatre

Shakespeare's lighthearted comedy of errors has spawned a multitude of adaptations, including the 2006 movie She's the Man. TNT Theatre is bringing the original work to life in Shenzhen, complete with disguises, misunderstandings and plenty of romance. Buy tickets here.

April 27: Shing02 and The Chee-Hoos

Shing02 was born in Tokyo but spent time in California during the mid-90s, where he was influenced by Bay Area hip hop. Over a 22-year-long career as an MC and producer, he's released albums in English as well as Japanese. He'll be backed up by The Chee-Hoos, whose members play everything from jazz to hip hop to ukelele.

April 27: Electric Wonderland in Hong Kong

When he's not pumping out hit singles, Gareth Emery headlines festivals like Ultra, EDC, and Tomorrowland. Now he's coming to Hong Kong, where he'll treat audiences to an extended two-hour set featuring house, progressive and trance music. Emery will be backed up by international talent that includes Standerwick and Hailene. Buy tickets here.

April 29-30: Springwave Sunset Festival

Once a Mandopop stronghold, Springwave’s recent pivot has made it the perfect venue for DJs touring Asia. Featuring 360 degree stages and impressive LED set ups, Martin Garrix and Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike are set to rock the decks.

April 29-30: Acapella Festival Events at Shenzhen Concert Hall

The ongoing Acapella Festival continues with a 'Single Singers' concert (3pm on Saturday) that combines the talents of four local acapella groups: 38.6℃, Loop, Jukebox and ATM. At the same time on Sunday, local elementary school students will be performing a family-friendly show. Both concerts are free, but online booking (here) is required for the kids' recital.

April 29: Tropkillaz at Club Sector

Tropkillaz, short for 'Tropikal Bass Killers,' are two Brazilian producers, DJ Zegon and Laudz. They blend experience (past collaborators include Kanye, M.I.A. and Snoop Dogg) with impeccable taste in trap, bass, Latin and of course, hip hop.

April 29: Suitcase Party at The Terrace

Not one for words, Madam X lets her music do the talking. Beginning in Manchester’s underground scene she has become a festival regular, playing to over 8,000 people in one recent performance. Her music maintains the gritty undertones that she was raised on, transforming in recent years into something truly original.

April 30: May Day Uniform Party at The Terrace
